Minor Illness Nurse - Seven Day Access Service
OxFed Health & Care Ltd have introduced a Seven Day Access Service to deliver better access to general practice in Oxford City by increasing the number of appointments available and by introducing more evening and weekend appointments.
As a Minor Illness Nurse in the service you will be offering routine practice nursing care and/or additional specialist care to include minor ailments and/or chronic disease management to any patient who is registered with an Oxford City practice. You will be working alongside a variety of clinicians including GPs, Practice Nurses, HCAs, physiotherapists and phlebotomists to offer a wide range of evening and weekend primary care appointments.
This is not a walk-in service and appointments can only be booked through the patient’s own practice reception team. The service will cater for a comprehensive range of nursing needs although it is likely there will be some patients who are not suitable because of complex medical and social problems. Under these circumstances patients will be advised to see a clinician in their own practice.
You will be working at any one of the various services hubs which are located in and around the Oxford City area.
We reserve the right to close the position once suitable applications have been received.
