Overview

OxFed is working with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust to establish a Seven Day Access Service (7DAS) that will bring together a range of GP, primary care and community healthcare services for the Oxford City population.

The purpose of the service is to improve access to and experience of NHS care throughout the week, while relieving pressure on local general practices. By bringing together different professionals, we can provide a wider range of expert care to patients who need it, such as physiotherapy and treatment room nursing. This will reduce the number of patients who feel the need to attend A&E and help avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.

The post-holder will need to receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. They will also be required to provide some administrative support for the service as directed by the service’s Operations Manager.

As well as providing this general assistance to the service team, the ideal candidate will project a positive and friendly image to patients, healthcare professionals and other visitors at all times.  Duties may vary from time to time under the direction of the Operations Manager, dependant on current and changing workloads, staffing levels and other factors.

You will be working at one of the 7DAS sites which are located in various locations around the city.
